This work represents a hopscotch on which I gathered objects. The tale is an adaptation of "Le petit poucet" from Charles Perrault, it is the tale of the life of my mother. One year during I have collected stories from the past of my mother throught questions I asked to her, and witness objects of this story. Some objects are really the ones she used in the past (like the photography films) but most of the objects are re-creations that I have made of the lost objects of her life. The sentences which I collected from our conversations are written on papers and placed under each object it refers to. This work uses symbolic objects, and it is some kind of theater because the half of the creation is contained in the work of collection that I have done before the installation making. It was an active exploration of my family tree.

«Le chapiau», c’est ainsi que ma mère appelait la marelle, étant enfant. J’ai réalisé cette marelle en tissu comme un conte plastique. Un an durant j’ai collecté des fragments de l’histoire de ma mère en lui posant des questions et en rassemblant des objets qui lui appartenaient et des objets que j’ai reproduits. Les phrases collectées à partir de nos conversations son écrites sur des cartels et placées sous les objets que chacune concerne, comme témoins d’événements. Les visiteurs sont invités à manipuler les objets imbriqués dans le tissu. Entre le traditionnel «ouvrage de dame» et le conte du «Petit Poucet», ce fut une exploration active de mon arbre généalogique maternel, et de mon héritage familial.
